Well, he brought me some time off enough to install the good stuff anyway. Had 5" exhaust, DP Tuner, BTS VB, gauges, and FRx laying around for a few weeks. Did the Isspro EV2 pyro, trans, and boost about 2 wks ago. We opened our presents on Christmas Eve, so Christmas day i yanked the exhaust out and installed new 5" Diamond Eye, did the BTS vb, and installed the DP Tuner (No start, 1200 idle, stock, 20t, 40t, 60t, drive thru, 80e, 120r). Yesterday, i installed the FRx from RiffRaff. All I can say is that I thought I had a truck before, but all I had was a vehicle with a bed on it, now I have a TRUCK !!!
OH YEA!!!! DADDY LIKES!!!! Never knew what I was missing all this time. This sounds so cliche, but Im still not sure how the 80 econ is supposed to work, cuz i cant take my foot out of it long enough to get any type of decent mileage. This puppy WILL RUN.
Thanks to all for putting in the time and effort for producing such great products for these vehicles.
Well, I didnt get these specifically as christmas gifts, some of these items have been laying around my garage for quite some time and just recently found the time to install, but lets just say that santa is good to those that help themselves. hehe
Drive thru: Only had it on since saturday, when i switch to it, it sounds like the engine is about to die and then catches itself and runs remarkably quieter than normal. I was wondering whether or not it would be quiet enough for an actual drive thru though as it is not as quiet as a gas engine. Pulled up to a Wendy's last night and did not have to turn the truck off to place my order like i normally would have to. So far so good.
Having all those installed at once must be like a whole new truck! Like mentioned above, your mileage will not show good results until the fun factor of the new parts wears off.
It is like a completely different truck now. I still cant get this silly grin off my face yet.
I know the feeling, had a ear to ear grin then when I got my 38R turbo me and another member here that helped me install it went for a ride and we couldn't stop smiling, the lady walking up the road looked at us and thought we were nutsos. Misses Claus in my advatar says your welcome have fun and be careful, you deserve it..
Damon I got premature permagrin from just putting in the FRx and the JWVB...I can only imagine how you feel...Cant wait to get my exhaust and tuner...Have fun and good times.
