Mechanically my truck is fine. I have to replace the body mounts and the bushings on the front and rear sway bars. I would like to install A/C, but the aftermarket Vintage A/C requires that I find a mount for the compressor. I can't find a wrecking yard locally that has a '79 truck, but one does have a '79 Ranchero with Air. Not sure of the engine size on it. Would the mount fit my 400ci if it was a 305ci? Any ideas of where else to find one would be appreciated.

i might have the bracket, you are looking for and a compressor. send me a pic, i was just going to scrap it
I don't have a pic, there is no bracket there. What is your bracket out of, and how much?? I would appreciate buying it, that would save me a lot of trouble. Is it from a 400ci? I will respond tonight, I am out the door to work. Thanks for the help.
sorry, im no expert on what matches with what on these trucks yet but this is off a 78 150 with the 351m. i would imagine its the same for the 2 motors. PM me your info and i can send it to you for the price of shipping. rather see it go to use then be melted down.
I have a factory AC '79 F-150 that I am parting out. All of the parts are there with the exception of some duct work under the dash that was brittle and cracked.
