95 5.0 low comp

i have a 95 f-150 and it has no power and runs like @@#t but it dont seem like its rings it doesnt use oil or smoke or anything and it holds great oil pressure so i know it hasnt been dogged i was thinkin maybe it blew a head gasket between cylinders but it is low on comp on 4 cylinders so wat im starting to think is timing is way off or the valves arent seating are these motors interference motors??? well its got me stomped maybe yall can help

No they arnt interference motors. Could be valve problems. What cylinders are low.

well thats my problem i didnt check it i had someone check it for me n they didnt remember witch ones it was all i no was it was low on both sides i have to go get a new comp tester but if the comp was that low (35-55 on the low) and it dont burn oil then it would almost have to be top end right???

wat is the comp sopsosed to be (in psi) ????

Well I have a similar problem that I have been chasing for months. Mine is idling rough like its got a mild cam in it and fuel mileage is horrible! So the last steps in the troubleshooting brought me to a compression check as well, show 83psi in #2 while everything else was above 125psi to 150psi. I pulled the valve covers and didn't see anything abnormal so it sounds like a burnt exhaust valve. I should be pulling the heads in a few weeks. But also something to think about, if it were a blown head gasket it should slow low compression across two cylinders, not just one.

thats why i need to check the comp again cuz by buddy jus told me it was low on 4 cylinders but i dont know which ones or exactly how bad it was....
but yea this thing runs like dog crap at idle with no power at all but it doesnt use oil or smoke at all so im pretty sure i gotta pull the heads

sounds like some burnt valves...heads probably gotta be pulled. most vehicles you have o have 75 psi for compression or else itll start missing
