I'm looking at the amp research powersteps and think it might be a worthwhile upgrade. A couple questions though. Has anyone installed crewcab steps under a supercab truck? I am hoping to get it so i can access a toolbox in the bed without having to climb into the bed. I also have all the train horn gear running along the outside passenger frame rail. How far do the tuck up towards the frame? Does anyone have any pictures from under the truck? I saw that DCSpecial has them on a supercab but i can not see the pictures that went along with the thread. Thanks for the input.
I have a set in my dining room that I have to install on my truck next weekend. There's a ton of videos on youtube and on Amps website that'll probably give you a better idea of what they look like installed. I found a link that has a pic of some guys truck with them installed. Hopefully this works: http://www.cartrucktrader.com/Photos...003583_3_b.jpg
When I ordered, the crew cab was the same part number as the extended cab, you have to trim the step before installing.
BTW - they have a promo going until the end of the year where if you buy a set of steps, you can get the bed extender or bed step for free.

Reason: Added info about promo and link to pic
There are install videos and installation pdf file for the exact specs. You cut the step to fit your install. The install pdf will show you exactly what has to be accessed.
thanks guys, i'm ordering them up and if i have to clearance issues with the compressor and tank then i'll just move them. As far as cutting down the steps, if there isn't enough length to get to the front of the bed then they will be shortend.

You should opt for the bed step and mount it on the side (for the freebie they have going on). They look like they're just big enough for your foot and manually retract up under the body. They have a pic on their home page of a truck with this installed between the amp step and the rear wheel.
I saw that but then i looked at the bedsteps and all the other pictures have the step coming off the bumper. That would definitely be the first choice for accessing the front of the bed though.
