Question General Questions

Hello guys, I have what I think is a 1977 F250 4x4 with what seems to be full time four wheel drive and a 400 V8. The truck was used on my deer lease but now is just sitting idle. Can some one fill me in on the four wheel drive operation and what axles and such were used on this model truck. Body is in bad shape and it burns a fair amount of oil. Guess what I am getting at is what is the truck worth, I have a jeep CJ7 and thought about using the rear axle in it if possible. Sorry about the rambling and thanks for any help.

General Questions

Hello-

Welcome to Ford Truck Enthusiasts! The Internet's leading Ford TRUCK and SUV Resource!

I believe the axle is to wide.

If you have the original axles and the original data plate you can find the codes for the axles on it. Otherwise there should be a tag on each differential.
