351W conversion
I recently swapped out my '77 351M to a newer 351W and it was running fine except the valves were sticking. I took the heads off and had a local machine shop rebuild them. I put it all back together and now it will not start cold. I have to spray starter fluid in the carb to get it to start but then it runs fine. I can not figure out what has changed or what I may have missed. Any ideas?

It very well could be the choke I guess, I have adjusted and will look at that again. I am currently looking for an intake so I can put on my new Eldbrock 600 carb with electric choke. Time will tell I guess. It is just really puzzling how it will not start cold and it used to start no mater what the temp was.
