i have an 03 engine 6.0L, and am trying to replace the o-ring that is at the top of the injectors, but cannot get the snap-ring out..
is there an easier way other than trying to use picks?

Technically, you are not supposed to service them. Having pulled one apart myself back when the support rings were failing I can tell you that using a pick is the only way but you risk damaging the injector. By the way, why are you removing that seal and were did you get the service part? I know of a source, I am just curious.
Have been fighting a high-pressure oil leak for awhile, and just wanted to be sure that all my o-rings were good.. and got the parts from my local diesel shop..
How many times can the HPOP manifold be removed ane re-installed before you would have to worry about changing the top injector o-rings ? ie. to avoid an oil leak
Not sure... my truck has 210k on it, and since the rest of my o-rings were old, i wanted to change the top ones.. due to worry about damaging the injectors, i didnt change mine.. changed my hpop, put the engine back together, and its running fine...
Good to hear. I had another thread on the subject and no response.
Changing the injectors over to a new long block and didn't keep the original order. Have yet to read anything on changing the top of the injector o-rings so worried i might have missed something ? So critical to ensure there are no leaks.
