Not to hijack, but.... I just gave a NIB 465cfm electric choke 0-1848-1 Holley to a fellow CT Chapter member for his Offenhauser intake.

The carb Josiah had opened that thread with was crap....
There was an FTE'er that posted to that thread he had a offy/390 combo to sell. Perhaps you could PM him?

No, they are MIA.
I have seen lots of Offy/holley 3904v/ 300-6 combos lately, seems like the thing to do.
I know a guy who has a 390 holley on a 302 and it runs AWESOME.......gets great mpg too!

I was going to put the 465 on a Mustang 5.0 H.O. engine and drop it into a very clean 2wd 1979 F-100 I had bought down in Tennessee a few years back.
Physical injury and the subsequent employment repercussions put the kibosh on that.

My girlfriend is in Texas visiting her father.
She just called to say she won't be coming home until next year.
The dog is curled up on the sofa, and my torn shoulder is KILLING me from moving firewood the past couple of days.
I can't sleep and don't have much to look forward to tomorrow, sooooooo, here I am.

the thread that got deleted was just a rant, I didn't even need to post it because I had already commented to my thread about carb rebuilding, I will look more into the offy/holley combo and see what I think. Thanks for all the input, and merry christmas everyone!!!!
