I was on youtube today looking at old crewcabs and some person had a crewcab they had for sale for $70,000. , I can understand putting a lot of money into a truck but holy crap. Anyways I have been told and there seems to be no automatic sliding rear windows for these old 70`s crewcabs but if you watch the video at 5:06 there is one, so I guess I`m just wondering where do you get them at? Yes they do make a power slider for these truck's. They fit 1973-1996. I manage a glass shop and you can get them. They run around $600.00 canadian installed.
I like how they say in the video they put $70,000 in it and apparently sold if for $29,990, sounds like they should be a congressman.
That is not hard to do. You never get back what you put into a project. You don't build cars and trucks as a hobbyist and expect to get your money back.
Say you spend $15,000 on a really nice paint job. Well good for you but nobody is going to feel sorry for you when you sell and say well here's $15,000 for the paint and here's $xx.xx for this feature and $xx.xx for this doo-dad.

I deal with a company called vanfax. They get them from a company in the USA called C.R.LAURENCE, they manufacture all kind's of back slider's. Here is the link Welcome to C.R. Laurence Co., Inc. use this part # in the search engine PS950S
i actually watched the video it is a nice truck with 2 exceptions.. I think theypayed to much for some of the work.. 14k for body and paint after using new bed sheetmetal... the second is the lift blocks in the front axle, in my state those aren't legal.

I know exactly what you mean but to me putting $70,000 in one of these old trucks seems a bit up there.
