I would get a MSD or equivalent distributer.

4 barrell manifold and holley 650 mechanical secondary.

Flowtech headers routed into a single exhaust.

STS turbo kit Squires Turbo Systems - Universal

When you do the turbo buy a blow through set-up from a company similar to these guys Performance Carburetors - Custom Holley Carb Specialists

Trying to find a 5.4 from a Lightening is going to be hard, and you have a 352 which is the same block as any FE series motor out there. Best part is when you blow the motor build a 390 and it drops in place so easily.
thank but as i stated I AM DONE WITH TURBO, this is the third time you told me to do a $4,000 motor build and a $3,000 turbo build. i would rather do what im wanting...the s/c 5.4 thanks

lol, jeeze, its like you know he is going too blow it, lol
i thought of getting the engine and tranny and wires and ecu out of a wrecke f150 then later s/c it, but im just wanting a bit more power out of the motor i have now.

engine electrical?

another thing your gonna have to deal with is engine grounds. Gonna have to upgrade or add some grounding to truck. Some of these older trucks weren't the best and some modern upgrades are needed to be updated. especially since your going with a more demanding electrical system than stock. I have added grounds to cab to engine to frame at critical area. I'm like you, like older trucks but want a modern stuff under hood. Another truck to check out is you tube ford f-2000 off road racing. 1000hrspwr 1969 ford f-100. this is a extreme situation but a boosted truck is always cool, torque in the 950 ftlb range. twin turbo ford 1969 f-100. also like mentioned check into www.autofab.com on older ford trucks. catch you later.

We understand just fine. Nothing wrong with a theme build. I was just suggesting something a little over the top.

f-100 hot rod

please remember these trucks aren't aerodynamically ready for a 100mph down the highway. air gets under them and will scare the crap out anybody who has some sense.i'm a guy who likes adrenalin as much as anyone(best drug in the world).i have a fully body off retro with a pro built 390 in it and after 90 mph it starts going where it wants.and it's just getting on the cam.if i do it again i'd get a lighting.

I actually have a 682 rwhp gen 2 and I can tell you that your swap idea has crossed my mind. The stock motors are junk over 450 hp. But I can't wait to ser what you do with it

hood stuff!

autofab makes a hood to help out with aerodynamics. Its lighter and the front has been cut for better vision and speed. just trying to help a guy out. The quickest truck I've ever been in was a 1966 for truck that could run mid 9sec quarters and streetable. It had a 632" ford motor and just plain nasty and some nitrous around a 350 hrspwr shot. Did this down in houston tx about 18 yrs ago. Its was fun and scary at the same time. I wasn't driving so kinda scary. the truck just run well and my guy did his homework. I'd do it again!! old iron can run with the right guy workin it.

Do you know how much a 5.4 lightening would cost you? The factory 4V 5.4's go for about 2500 used when I looked, and the 5.4 superchargers cost around $7000 ready to go. Then you'll need all the electronics, and the HD tranny.

Plus you said lightening inspired. Not lightening transplant.

Sounds like fun. Panther front suspension. Marauder motor mounts. Keep the 9 inch. Lightning seat.

Then youve got to figure out the dash cluster. Gen2 wont fit in a Bump.

Consider a Ron Francis harness.

Perceived hostile posts will get you banned quick here, just a heads up.

Crown Vic(Panther) front end swap; lowers and give power steering/power disk brakes.'

Aren't the Harley-Davidson 5.4 supercharged? Terminator?

Rear-end IRS from a T-Bird? Explorer?
