What kind of performance increase does this bigger throttle body give you? Are you guys actually getting a "seat of the pants" experience, or is it a cumulative effect with other add- on's? I have bee kicking the chip idea around and really haven't heard anything about a bigger throttle body. Anyone..... Anyone?
Can't give u any comparison on the throttle body alone because I installed it at the same time as the headers, throttle body spacer and cat-back. If u get one and look at em in a side by side comparison.
Originally posted by Quikirk What exactly does a larger throttle body do, mechanically I mean?
It is a larger opening that will allow more air to be ingested by the engine. That is if the engine is capable of pumping more air than the factory throttle body will allow.
Things that could cause this are exhaust, headers, larger valves, supercharger and such.
