Whats the easyist way to remove DRL on a 97 power stroke?

The only issue I see is if you unplug it then the high beam indicator stops working in the dash unless you insert a factory cap into the harness. Schematic indicates pins 1 and 8 are shorted to make it work properly, best guess.
