So... I was looking into getting a leveling kit which most people recommended me to get so my new tires fit alittle better but have 1 question.
I look at my truck on flat ground and it seems to sit perfectly level, no front rake what so ever. I put my dads truck (04 cummins 3500) and my F350 side by side and his front is noticeably lower compared to the rear but mine just seems level, and DOES NOT have a kit already installed. Is this common on 350's or is this just a fluke? I'd hate to spend 2-300 on a kit that will make the front higher than the rear... There is a noticeable difference in wheel well gap but the truck seems to sit level.
Have you owned the truck since new? If no, it's possible the previous owner installed F250 blocks (2 inches lower) in the rear which brings the truck almost level. Unless you need more room for your tires...leave it alone. I like the stance of your truck.
I put on a takeoff F350 suspension, w/plow prep, under my F250. First thing I noticed was the rear springs had less arch and weight rating than my F250s. My truck did have a fifth wheel. The front was still too low still and the back was near level or maybe slightly lower. I didn't like it. I put my F250 springs back on, used the 4" blocks with the X spring in the front, and the back end rode way higher than the front. So I installed a leveling kit. Leveling kit I had was for the diesel. I installed it, and the front end was way too high. I pulled the diesel leveling kit out and took out the kit's leafs on either side till it was right. I finally ended up with 3/4" rake, which to me is proper. With 700lbs of sand bags in the back it sits just like your looks in the picture. Raise the 1000lbs plow and the front drops approx 1/2" giving it's proper rake again.
As yours sits I wouldn't add a leveling kit to the front. I think your rear sits a little low myself for empty. For yours I'd install air bags and raise the backend a 1/2" or so. I'm going to install them on mine. I don't have overloads or a rear sway bar. I get a little heavy on the tongue of a trailer, and it sways just a little. Air bags would correct this.
