Axles & bolt patterns

Greetings all,

Anyone know which axles in the 73-79 F series trucks came with the 8 lug bolt pattern? Were all the 8 bolts the same dimension center-to-center?

All F-250's and F350's They were mainly Dana 44 (front only on 250's) and 60 axles. Maybe Dana 70's in the rear on the duallies.

Were all the 8 bolts the same dimension center-to-center?

They should be.

The 8 lug wheels have an 8 on 6.5" bolt pattern, which is pretty much standard on a 3/4 and 1 ton up until 99(Ford went Metric at that point) For a Ford, Ford and Dodge wheels will work, as, the pilot home is too small in Chevy wheels to fit over a Full floating axle's hubs other than the 14 bolt. If you have a semi-floating rear end, any 8 lug wheel you find can be used.
