Spring /string deep bass sound rear
I have a sound that can be normal…I was fixing my brake light and heard it a few times…

From underneath the truck, somewhere between the driver door and the rear axle I am hearing a noise…

The noise sounds like a musical note…a deep bass string being played type of noise…

It’s the kind of sound that you can make when playing with rigid springs or a deep bass guitar…

The truck was in park….I am wondering if its an indication that there is something wrong with the rear brakes or rear axle….

Is this something that I should be worried about or is my truck just a box full of tricks now….

Seriously, no one has had this issue?
my truck sounds like a barge pulling in to dock....I think its the brakes because I can hear it from the rear drum if I am standing outside but I can hear it while inside....
Is this a brake thing? sounds like bongggggggggg, deep bass sound....
Any clues?

The description in your first post reminded me of the sound you get if the brakes are lightly applied and the truck inches forward.
My guess would be that one or both of your rear brakes are draging a little, maybe due to a sticking wheel cylinder or a build up of dust.
One suggestion would be to pull both drums and brush or blow out any dust and do a visual inspection.

In your first post you said the truck was in park, were you just standing next to the truck and heard something? Is it as you come to a stop? Does it just do it once or repetively? If you can get it to make the noise while you are standing beside (or laying under) the truck maybe you can pinpoint it a little better.
