Taking it somewhat easy trying to recover from yesterday... back is really complaining now. Hauled a load of junk appliances to the only yard I know for certain accepts them, since I was going to be in the area picking up the sister in law's car. Shredded a tire 3/4 of the way there, no spare. Got lucky that the axle would hang without dragging, so got to pluggin along, taking a little more time to go. Ran out of gas about 5 miles later... Fuel gauge doesn't work, so I was carrying 5 gallon for insurance, got used and refilled... The mileage on that thing sucks, about 5 mpg hauling down, I was hoping for better, but the odometer has been probably rolled over at least twice on a 351W, and the rear gears are pretty high for towing with... Did manage to make it to the yard with just enough time to get weighed unloaded and paid before they closed.

Went to a local tire store and grabbed a junk tire to put on the rim and bought a hammer and tire iron to get it all swapped, then headed after the car. That was the easy part, getting the car. Ended up being an all day affair, got home about 10 last night.

That seems to be a regular trip there... Last run I made shredded a tire on the trailer, and didn't make it in at all...
