Bucket List

Hi guys, sort of bummed here. Found out yesterday an old friend has cancer and then later found out a buddy had a heart attack and died.
Sort of got me thinking about a bucket list, you know those things that you really want to do before you die. I've had fun and enjoyed life, but there are still things I want to do. A lot of places I want to go, lots of things I want to see, ain't getting any younger, so I think it is time to jump in with both feet and start checking off some of those things still in the bucket.
What about all of you? Does anybody else think this way? Do you have a bucket list? Any possibility of ever getting to the bottom of it?

Morning gents, hope no one has to suffer through a trip to WM anytime soon. I had to go to one Saturday...if it wasn't a matter of marriage/divorce I would have stayed away from that place.

Not to be anti-PC...but that sux. I hate to hear about that. A guy at work two weeks ago killed himself for no apparent reason (wasn't hurting for money, not married and so on)...it was a shock to allot of us because the guy was general easy going & laid back.

Actually I have a couple of things on my bucket list that I want to do before I clock out. Watch a Space Shuttle launch and then land (with their retirement very soon, don't see that one happening); wade into the seven seas of the world; take my wife to Hawii; do the Alaskan cruise/train trip to Fairbanks; visit the Smithsonian (Air & Space)...the rest, well I'd have to go look at the list to know for sure.

Yeah, the trip to Alaska (but I'll drive) is on the list, probably 2012 and to roam the Smithsonian is a high priority too. Hawaii, well unless there is a boat to get there....... The Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Yosemite and I'm sure there are several others that I need to see too. It's just funny how the death of a friend or close relative can get you to thinking about these things, but I am seriously gonna get started on checking things off of my list.

I understand it..... just don't really have one. I'm a pretty content homebody. There are several things I'd like to build, but it would take a pot o gold to do most of them, and I'm not a rainbow chaser

Time and money. Those two things are at opposite ends of the universe. It's really time OR money...

I've never really set a specific goal before I kick the bucket, come to think of it, I really can't think of anything.

i'm sure I'll come up with something eventually.

Sure is looking that way.
After spending the weekend at my river home, another item can be added to the list........ Finish this place before I die!!!!!
The more time and money I spend there, the more I see that needs to be done.

The same should/could apply to a "honey do" list. About the time you think you've got a chunk of items knocked off the list...she goes and adds twice as much more to the list.

I don't care for flying, and now that the TSA is out there...I really don't like to fly. Any mode of travel where I have to take my shoes off and hold my wallet over my head...ain't for me. Thus if/when my bride & I make that Alaska trip...it will be a road trip for sure. Guess we could make it a round trip on the train & boat.
