Thanks 390, but I know youy could only speculate on the info given.
Anyhow I used the factory cooling loop from a 79 F-150 and the end of it had a 5/16 inverted flare nut on it sooooo yep I put it right on in the gear box that took the 5/16 fitting and had a custom made hose done up for the only fitting size left, 3/8 and connected it to the high pressure side.
WRONG!!!!!!
It turns out the high pressure side for a F-250 gear box is the 5/16 and the return side is 3/8.
Lesson learned, the hard way, and maybe this will help someone else out.
