buggy builders?

Any of you guys build off road buggies, or go-carts from scratch? I would like to build one but I have no idea where to start. Any advice?

buggy builders?

ive never built one... but i know the main step is obtaining a welder and steel. my buddies go-carts were all simple. small lawnmower motor, a axle with a sprocket on it, you can buy most of the parts at a hardware store. but from what i have seen, you can basically buy one for the cost to build one.

Old Volkswagen Bug engines and transmission make great buggy parts. You can even use the base of thier frame so its easier to mount the drivetrain. They have lots of power and are relatively light.
