I have a 77 highboy with a c6. I've been thinhing about installing a lokar nostalgia shifter on the floor. It has two bends and will look similar to the old four speed stick so i think it will look pretty good. Just curious if anyone has done this and if it will work? Thanks
A bronco (68) that a rich friend of mine had had 1 of those in it & it worked fine EXCEPT if you wanted to run it up through the gears hard (had no kickdown) it was real hard to get it to just go 1,2,3 under full throttle always wanted to jump all the way to 3 or N. & this was installed by lokar in california (I told you he had money

Well i think since they have adjustable brackets it should work pretty well in a dentside. I want to run a floor shifter but i don't really like the ratchet style shifters so i think this will look better.
hp246 did you install the floor shifter or the shifter that mounts to the actually transmission?
Mine is on a C6/460 combo. The shifter mounts to a bracket which is mounted on the top of the transmission. The shifter uses a cable linkage to shift the trans. I had to "adjust" the opening in the trans hump.
