2 tone paint?

Hey guys i have a 2001 ford rager and the paint is commin off the roof so i have to have the roof repainted. I was wondering if anyone has done a 2 tone on their pickups. My pickup is white right now and i was thinkin on the bodyline that is by the door handle i would go with a black or a charcole above that, and leave the bottom half white. The run a pinstripe in that line. If anyone has done this or have seen anyone seen it. Any input would be good beacause i have no idea if this will even look good.

Thanks

Lane

Offhand, I don't recall seeing that combination, but if you do it, my preference would be for charcoal, rather than black. The drawback of either of those dark colors is that you get more heat absorption during warm, sunny days than with light colors.

Ford used to have two tone paint on some of their full size pickups and they looked neat to me. The colors were usually complementary, e.g., tan and brown or light blue and dark blue. The problem for you is that the darker color was on the lower part of the truck and the lighter one was on the upper part - just the opposite of what you would have.
