Injector temps?

Hey all, here is one for y'all, I was playing around with my new Thermal infra red thermometer gun and noticed something...

Most of my injectors, when I point the gun at the tightening nut, seem to run around 105 degrees, the #2 and #4 injectors seem to be a bit hot, about 130 degrees... is this normal, or is this a problem?

I also noticed my idle is ever so slightly a bit rough, not majorly, but a bit. This is when the truck is fully warmed up by the way. No smoke except under heavy throttle, then it is just a gray haze....

Something to worry about, or leave it alone?

When the injector pintle is not seated, compression leaking into the injector will cause them to run hotter.

You may be at the early stages of #2 and #4 injector going south.

Hmmm these are all new injectors with less than 1000 miles on them...
Any suggestions?

Brand new, or remans?

Could be a bad rebuild?

i don't think id go on that much.
if you were to swap injectors and the heat followed with the injectors, then ok.you may have found a problem.chances are it wouldn't.try it though if you have another install kit.

Ok, if 6 injectors are running about the same temp say 145 at idle with the engine at normal temp does that mean they are good or bad, the other 2 are running about 120. Today a ticking noise started coming from passenger side front, return lines have been replaced but not the injectors, I am guessing its time to replace them.
