Is he a Ford dealer selling only Ford parts? Just wondering? I just set up an account with them because my (&^)*&%^)* fuel pump just started puking. I wanted to put electric fuel on it this spring but I can't afford it right now. Have to get a new mechanical one. I was browsing around at his prices and if they are OEM parts then I've been getting ripped on my account at the local Ford dealer. I think I am gonna like this guy.
Edward Olson is the Parts Manager at Horizon Ford. The are in the Seattle area.
He is very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. He will answer all of your questions quickly and help with hard to find parts.
Great. I guess it all will be oem parts then. I just can't get over the price of that fuel pump on there. It's about a hundred bucks cheaper than the same motorcraft one at Oreilleys WITH my wholesale account. Them crooks!
I thought delphi made the Ford ones. I know from experience that most junk from the parts store doesn't last worth a crap. Electrical parts are the worst but I don't want a fuel pump going out on the road either. That might cause a bullet to somehow go through my engine.
I've dealt with ed quite a bit for parts for my truck and for my kids taurus. Very helpful and smart and always has what I need. I'm like you RRranch, my local ford parts guy is a total idiot that knows nothing. I don't know how he works there. I don't even remember the prices, just the idiocy. I love dealing with ed.
All auto zone now lists is an airtex pump. I'm scared of them really. It seems like every single thing I have bought from auto zone except for a set f rear coils for my wifes antique buick was junk.
Oreilleys also has the airtex listed. And a Bosche. They do have the Motorcraft one also but that is very high dollar from those crack addicts. I just don't know what to do now. I really wanted to go to electric fuel when I am done rebuilding my other engine in 2 or 3 months. I hate wasting the money on this now.
