HELP!!!
Hey guys. I am not on here often but the few times i have had problems with my 99 F250, the site has helped me greatly, so i figured id post my new problem. Thanks so much in advance for any help!
Problem: About 2 weeks ago i noticed at low throttle, there was a whining noise coming from the right side of the engine compartment and i had 0 boost. When i gave it more gas it would go back up to normal boost and no noise.
Then i noticed when i pulled in the driveway that i was leaking gas from the front of the engine compartment. I got underneath it and noticed there was oil leaking as well. So i took apart the ducting leading to the turbo and noticed there was oil leaking from the bottom of my turbo.
SO, i took it to a local diesel mechanic that works on the side to fix it reasonable. What he told me was that the HPOP is bad, the turbo needs to be rebuilt, and the ECM is fried.
Does anybody know if this sounds right, or is he full of ****?
