im trying to figure out what I want to paint or coat my new headers i ordered with. Ive read that some people use Weld thru Primer, anybody have any experience with this? I just dont wanna spend all my time and $$ and have my headers rot out. If i could afford it I would jet hot coat them, but am on a somewhat limited budget with my little boy thats gonna be here in may.
This should be interesting. Personally, I've never seen anything stay on exhaust in terms of paint, but I haven't really looked around lately for new technology stuff.
I have been using the VHT ceramic header paint (2k degrees) on my Thorleys.(aluminum color) The paint actually holds pretty and lasts pretty long once I got all the peeling ceramic coating off. I use a wire brush to get any of the loose stuff off before painting. The heat from running the truck cures the paint.
