i love the show. the ideas they come up with are great. sure, they do basically make a decent vehicle useless. well, sort of. im sure the local fire department would be proud to have the Lincoln Towncar "fire truck" even the paint on the vehicles they make is awesome. well, ive been watching episode after episode for 3 hours and 27 minutes now
and im starting to get some crazy ideas! ok, im thinking my F250 would really take alot of work out of the day if i could modify a snowplow mount, to adapt to my front end, and raise and lower my STUMP GRINDER on it. my stump grinder is currently a 2 cylinder. now, add that to my V-10, i think i might have the only 12 cylinder stump grinder in the world!!
they are going to be starting a season called "Monster Houses"
they basically kick you out of your house for a week, and do whatever with it... build a golf course in the back yard, or something that youd take interest in. ive always wanted a gun range in my basement!!!
ok im going to trademark my idea for the Super Duty Stump Grinder. if any of you decide to steal my idea im taking ya to court!
I like it too but only see it in Motels as I don't have cable at home.
The show last week had a genius using two bicycle hand brake handles to control a joystick. He could press right or left and stop one track of the snowmobile, but could press both ways to stop both tracks.
All he needed to do was flip one handle over, right and left would stop one track, pulling back would engage both of them. Pushing forward would have been a good throttle because having the throttle on the other end of the brake would have been better than a second gas pedal.
I love that show. Just wish they would come out with some new ones! I have seen all the current ones, and am waiting for something "new". They keep resowing things like the fire limo and golf ball getter, lawn mower, garbage truck etc., etc.
Get a surplus jet aircraft start-cart, rob the jet turbine off of it and mount it on a four wheel drive F-450.
In place of a plow blade - mount a pair of 2 1/2" directional nozzles fed by compressor stage turbine bleed air ahead of the left and right front fender with the heated turbine exhaust exiting to the rear at the ground to blast off any residual ice....
In theory it should act like a gargantuan leaf blower - clearing three or four lanes at a time.

They made a Samurai into a hot air balloon...is that close enough??
I already saw a snow blower attachment that mounts on to an existing snowplow harness. I came across it about three days ago. It runs on it's own two-stroke engine. It spans about 8 feet. It costs approx $7,000.00
Greywolf, do you think we could build one out of jet turbine for a cheaper cost??
Several years ago I came across a loader attachment that mounts onto an existing plow harness also. The cool thing is that it is setup to operate off of the plow pump hydraulics. It uses the raise/lower function as normal but the power angle control allows the bucket to scoop and dump. Pretty cool but the weight must take it's toll on the front end.
We used the plow pump hoist on the front of my F-250 once to pull a forced main sewer/grinder pump out of the pump pit. Pulled it free nicely.
