Faulty alternator
Hey there......I've finally fixed the problem. Some of the wires connecting to the alternator had melted together, causing some shorts, and also my alternator was weak, so I had that replaced too. Everything is in great shape now. Thanks for the help.

Faulty alternator
You are lucky!!! When mine shorted out last fall it caused $1500 in damage. Most of the alternator area melted or was fire damaged.
And right now I'm trying to figure out if the cracked head is from the fire.
A couple mintues more before I found the fire, I would not have a Big Red Bronco
Bruce Big Red Bronco 1989. it's waiting its turn to have the engine pulled, behind a 1976 Firebird (this weekend) and the gas tank on a mini-blazer. And the brakes on a 1998 Escort.
And right now I'm trying to figure out if the cracked head is from the fire.
