What would make the vaccuum advance stick in the advnaced position. I have a 360 where the vaccuum advance sticks in the advanced position. This is the second rebuilt distributor in as many months and the same thing keeps happening.
I have replaced the timing chain and gear, carburetor (2V), radiator and complete tune-up.
Any information would be very helpfull.

Sounds like you have it hooked up to the intake manifold and not the carb port.
a lot of guys put it their thinking that's where it should be, cause the engine idles better.
But it goes in to retard as vacuum goes down. Where as with the carb vacuum port vacuum goes up advancing the timing.. my 2cents

Welcome aboard, TX.
Do you mean the advance mechanically sticks when advanced? If you pluck the hose on the carb and suck on it, the advance unit should twist the plate in the distributor. Release suction and it should snap back. What do you see when you do this?
