I'm looking for a Ford part number for the piece of glass/plastic that goes between the dash and the gauges. It's the piece that keeps you from being able to reach in and touch the needles. That's the best way I can describe it. Mine looks like someone rubbed it with a Brill-O pad and at night, all the scratches make an annoying green glow instead of the nice clear numbers on the odometer.
I looked around and had trouble because I don't know what you call that piece. Any help is appreciated.
Go to www.partsguyed.com put in the year, make and model. You then choose instrument panel, then instument cluster assembly and then cluster lens. There will be a link to an illustration as well. Ed will typically save you money and time. Hope this helps.
I can't say that I know the difference since I've never seen another dash cluster besides my own. I don't have a reset button that goes through the lens and my message center can show me engine hours, avg. mpg, Trip, LEFT FRONT DOOR AJAR, etc.
I assume I need the one with no hole and the "full message center". Do I just order through your site, or can you hook me up through here?

Thanks Ed, I got the right part and put it in this weekend. It took about 2 hours...the first time and about 25 minutes the second time. I'll explain why it had to be done twice. Once I had everything apart, I wanted to do some cleaning. When I had the lens off, I cleaned around all the gauges and THOUGHT I zeroed them all back out. Well, I didn't. We got it all back together and I realized my boost gauge was completely flipped around. So, we had to take it all apart, and zero the boost gauge. The new lens makes my truck look new! I'm very happy with your price and the item! I'll try to post pics and if I can, make up some documentation for anyone else that wants to do this.
