AE and ground loop options?

I'd like to be able to leave my PC on for longer periods of time with AE running.
I have a small inverter that plugs into the truck's power port and I can plug my PC charger into that. I've never tried it but I assume I would get the ground loop because it's just a cheap inverter.
Other than another power source - like a portable jump box - is there a way to resolve potential ground loop errors running the setup with the truck's power port?

I had the same concerns about a ground loop problem but my cheap Wagan 140w inverter works just fine.

ITP used to have some good info on this but since they switched to Sinister Diesel I can't find it.

I have run mine with a power converter too and never had a problem. We used it for several hours at on a trip when learning about AE and it worked fine.

Depends on the truck for me. Same el-cheapo inverter the whole time.

My previously-owned '01 would freak out every time it had a chance which was about every 2 minutes...talk about frustrating.

My '95 has never had a problem with the inverter and AE (and I drove it across the country like that).

My '00 Has only freaked out on me twice...and I've probably logged 50 hours on it so far with the inverter attached.
