Help! Straight axle......

I need to know the gearign for a 1979 Bronco. The engine that was in it is unknown. All I need is the gear ratios in a bronce in 1979, all engines.

Did the have 3.55's?

I just blew apart ANOTHER axle and am sick of this damn twin I beam suspension in my '83 F150. I am looking to convert to a solid axle from a 1979 bronce and the only thing i need are the possible gear ratio's.

what size tires are you running currently. might think about upgrading to higher gears like 4.10's or 4.56's if your running 33-35 inch tires.

sorry i dont know what the 78's came with already, i think 4.10's but im not sure.

Help! Straight axle......

I am running 33X12.5X15's on 10" wheels.

The problem is, I want the same gear ratio. As I do drive this truck on the road and sometimes on the interstate. I want to be able to cruise with it @70 mph and not be turning 3500+ revs.

About how much will 33X12.5X15's throw off the speedo? Compared to stock size tires.

Also, where is a good place to get ring and pinion gears?
