77 Ford F100 Longbed Stepside

I own what was once my fathers truck which he bought new in 1977. An F100 regular cab, 302v8, three speed on the column manual transmission that has the longbed stepside bed on it. It does run, needs some body work and paint, new brakes and tires to pass inspection, and some TLC inside and out. I bought it from my mom when my dad passed in 2006 to do something with it and keep it in the family. I am ready to part ways with it and have been told by a fellow ford enthusiast that the 8ft stepside was rare. I am reluctant to sell it to my friend, anyone on here interested? I can email pics, and am open to offers.

Well, there is a statistic that there was less 1973-1979: 8' flaresides (stepside) made than there were 1977-1979 6' flaresides, and the 6' was only made for 3 years.

But I cannot confirm or deny that, as it's second hand knowledge.
