I just searched & found out about this & tried it. Took lots of tries (as does most stuff on here for me I.E. keeps saying something is trying to add something on) but did eventually get it to work for the one posted but no data on reg/super/crew.
It did not know at all what the next one is.

Is yours a crew cab? Our vins are real close except for the last 5 which are just a unit# i believe

Ya its a crew ... I dont think the cab is a 77 tho, b/c it doesnt have the cab fuel tank, and i think 78-79's were outside.

After looking at his I am feeling better about the title that came with my crew. Is there a way to get replacement door stickers & door data plate? Seems like I remember someone saying there was a way but not shure.
John
Found the answer for this after searching. Martini report people can whis is so cool since the door on mine is wrong for the truck & the sticker has been painted over & scratched all to heck.

On your door tag there it says 1977 so maybe the late 77s did not have the in cab tank since they got the later frame & there was room for the rear tank. Mine does not have a in cab tank either and after close inspection i would safely say it never did.

Marti Auto Works - Replacement Door Tags plus more
Mine has no color code on the cab plate either, the build sheet shows it was ordered with "special paint"

Did you take a look at the link I posted? Don't know what else a vin can tell you.

Yes but I also saw where you said didn't work for you. Also I didn't really know what the vin would tell me. Thanks
