Most Windsor headers require some tweaking to either the header or frame rail, particularly the passenger side to fit. Do some searching on here and you might find the few that have gotten headers to fit.

You might want to consider "block hugger" headers. The exhaust manifold bolt pattern is the same as a 302, so even though the 351W was never offered from the factory, you should be able to work something out.

If shorties will work for you you can use some for a 95 with a 351w.

I have heard mid 80s mustang shorty headers will work. I will be dealing with this myself shortly.

These might if the truck is an automatic, but they run right into the equalizer if its a stick shift.

How did you get the 5.8 in your truck? I have a 73 250 4x4 that I would love to put a windsor into but am unsure of how to go about it. Any info, like what engine towers and mounts to use would be much appreciated.

For anything windsor related, check your local speed shop for used stuff. Mustang guys are usually nuts and are constantly upgrading, and you can get used go fast parts for stupid cheap

Mine is actually a 78 F150. You need 351M/400 motor stands,351W mounts and a 300 I6,302,351w bellhousing.

Yep those will work.

Mine is done the same way. You need 2wd motor mounts for a 302, 351m motor stands, and a 300/302/351w bellhousing. You also need a little bracket for the equalizer that bolts on the bellhousing( 6 cylinders didn't come with that). The hardest part about the swap is getting all the accessories rigged up.

So...thats what it takes to get a 302 into a highboy? Is that combo to get the transmission to line up into the factory position?

You need small block motor mounts for a 73-79 F150, since I dont think the 302 came as a 4x4 the 2WD mounts would be correct.

OEM style
Motor Mounts 302, Pair

The ones I went with.
Extreme Duty Poly Motor Mounts,302,351W
