styn tech hubs
is anyone running the unit bearing conversion kits? i run 35s in the summer and i go threw at least a set of hub bearings a year. in my lst truck 89 f350 i rean the same size tires but that had sevicable bearings simuilar to the kit. and i never had one fail with proper repacking intervals, and tires seem to wear better. im tech for a living so i am very particular about replacing any bad parts and rotating tires and keeping the truck aligned. guess i wanted some insight on these kit from the real world. 1500 bucks is lot of money but if the wark like they are suppose to then the saving in parts should pay for them selves over time and i tend to keep trucks a long time

I am guessing you are referring to the Spin tech Kit? I have a similar setup on my truck (Dynatrac) and am very pleased with it. A hidden cost is going to be u joints, unless they are new you will prob want to install new u joints when swapping over to the bigger stub shaft. Another thing to consider is ABS sensors, if applicable you will need to get the sensors out of your unit bearings and install them into the stuff from Solid. If by chance you bought off brand unit bearings there is a really good chance the ABS sensors will not fit the mount provided by Solid. I have no personel experience with that kit however from what I understand it is very similar to the Dynatrac kit.

yea spin tech lil typo i guess, thanks for the info on the u joints and abs thats the kind stuff i was lookin for. does your kit use a off the shelf lockout hub like a warn, or is a soild product only? ive never broke a hub since i put a superwinch hub conversion on mine but would like kit that i could get a set locally if needed if thats possible.
