there may be a leak in your vacuum system. I'd check to make sure there isn't a leak in the reservoir. Do you have power brakes? If so, do they appear to working OK? If not it may be the booster leaking.
Most likely, the reservoir glued to the evaporator cover (above the R exhaust manifold behind the ragged silver insulation) is leaking. If it's not obvious where, try spraying it with Windex and blowing into the hose - bubbles will appear at the leak. If you can't get glue to stick, break it off & silicone it back on.
If it doesn't appear to be leaking, trace the line from the reservoir to the check valve/Y and then to the firewall grommet and the manifold. The leak might also be on the back of the A/C control panel or at the vacuum motor inside the dash.
On my 1990 Bronco and a friends 1992 Bronco it was a vacuum line on passenger side of the engine compartment. It goes into the cab and we both had little tears/cracks in this line.
On mine I sleeved the plastic tube with rubber vacuum line; on his we used electric heat shrink to seal the flaw.
