PCV w/ 2 Ports??????

PCV w/ 2 Ports??????
Howdy Y'all,
Ok, from some previous posts I had, replacing the PCV valve was recommended. So, I ran down to the local parts house and looked it up and got a new PCV valve. My old one had only one 'port' for lack of a better term and this one has two. ???????
I figured that the book was right and some previous owner was an idiot.
So, here is my question. I found what seemed to me to be a vaccuum line that was just stuck on a bolt coming out of the bracket that hold the air pump lines. This line goes to a 'manifold' with 4 ports right behind the distributor that goes into the intake manifold. My vaccuum diagram doesn't show two lines going to the PCV.
I hooked that line up and it seems to run better, is this correct? Or is that line supposed to go somewhere else? This is my first Ford and I am just a little confused.

Ford PCV valves can have either one or two ports on it. The operation is identical. If your vehicle only has one line running to the valve, hook it up and block off the other smaller port. It is best not to mess with the factory vacuum lines unless you are sure you know what you are doing as it will cost a lot of money to have someone figure it out. The PCV line should run to a part of the manifold that evenly distributes the PCV flow.
