2010 Factory Remote Start
Has anyone here installed the Ford remote start system on a 2008-2010 Super Duty with the Power Stroke? I saw the recent thread on installing the factory system on the 2011 Super Duty. I also saw a thread that indicated that the 2011 remotes would work with the 2010 systems or something to that effect. I guess I'm confused on what will work with what and what is needed to install factory remote start. After installing the factory fog lights on my new 2010 Super Duty I'm feeling pretty confident that factory remote start may also be a pretty easy project.
So can anyone tell me if the 2010 system is plug and play like the new 2011 system seems to be? Also does anyone know if I keep my parking brake on and activate the high idle (assuming that I wired the factory high idle connection to an upfitter switch) if my truck would automatically go into high idle mode when started with the Ford factory remote start? Thanks
