Several Vacuum questions

O.k. during T/sing of my left front IWE groaning I discovered that the entire vacuum system lines were all dry rotted and in disrepair. It also appears by looking at the Ford Service manual that someone else has been in there.

1. Does the Vac source going coming from the brake booster into the IWE Solenoid go in the top or bottom port of the solenoid?

2. There are two lines that go into the fire wall for the HVAC system. Are both hooked up to the VAC source line? I know the heater control valve should connect to the gray line but what about the black one?

3. Is there an overall vacuum diagram for me to look at?

Both of my IWE check valves are bad because I can blow through both sides but I have a question. Which way are they supposed to face once I get the new ones tomorrow?

I appreciate any help on these.

O.k. I guess I will have a conversation with myself for now.
The IWE check valve was bad as I could blow through both ends with ease. Replaced that one and the IWE solenoid and no change on the groaning. Guess I will buy a vac pump and test the IWE at the wheels.

The blend door was fixed for the 2005 correct? I get defrost only right now in both A/C and heat settings.

Answers to my other questions or thoughts.

1. It appears to go like this as the top you can blow through so it can vent and the bottom is where the solenoid allows air to pass when activated.

2. The gray line goes to the heater switch up by the TB and the black one goes to the main Vac line but I am assuming a check valve goes between that main vac line and the line that goes into firewall to keep the pressure up.
