2006 is getting the oil cooler and Egr cooler replaced today under warranty. They said the wont do the Bullet Proof even with me paying for parts. So the only thing I am really getting is some more time.
What else can I have them do while its torn down that far? No I cant afford to do the studs right now. I will be installing the coolant filter afterwords.
I just had Oil & EGR cooler done 3 weeks ago. Drove the truck twice & the heads let go. I would get them to check it all now and only have 1 tear down.
I aksed for Studs but the mechanic missed it on the work order. So I'm stuck with all new parts but no studs.

WOW, that is terrible.
I did ask them twice, if they were sure there is no problem with the head gaskets. They said they are good. I am trying to get a quote now on the head gasket/stud job now
Maybe hae them do a STC fitting while its down, you will most likley have to pay for the part and a little extra time out of pocket, but would still save you hundreds later. Just a thought.

I agree. To do the coolers, the updated STC fitting replacement is only an IPR valve, nine high pressure oil pump cover bolts and five high pressure oil pump fasteners away from replacement.
OK, STC is on the list.
Tell me more about the fuel press. reg. spring, blue, upgrade kit
The "blue spring" kit increases base fuel pressure from 56 psi to 65 psi. It is housing onto the side of the secondary fuel filter housing. The housing needs to be removed to enable intake manifold removal. The part number for this part is 3C3Z-9T517-AG.

Would this be considered a necessity or a upgrade for a stock engine. Or would it be for the SCT tuner type guy?
