Yours doesn't smoke b/c of Bill's tunes. Simple as that. He tunes his stuff to hold back fuel until boost starts coming in more and more... Mine, not much fuel held back unless it's to keep the turbo from going pop. LOL. My street race tune will easily black out an intersection if I goose it in 2nd gear once. Gotta keep it in econo if I want to go past 1/2 throttle and not smoke out the town.

on memorial week last year we went to lake Powell, when leaving Flagstaff a prius in the right lane at a red light was giving me a dirty look so when the light turned green I smoked him through 3 gears, he ended up running off the road to get out of the smoke! it was priceless.

Even my economy tune will pour out the coal. I just started to tear mine apart yesterday (3" intakes, bellow uppipes, GP's, cooling mist and drill and tap EGT probe, etc.) and I'm pulling the chip to get Tony to clean it up a bit. I will ask for a little less fuel until boost gets going. Its been a couple of years, I bet Tony has adjusted things as customers give feedback and more live tunes to find tune things.

to me it just feels like something is wrong. i love my 100 and 140, but the tow and econo settings suck. my smoke setting has better drivability than those.

I don't. Just remember hearing that from someone on here or the PHP forum...
I have Stock, High Idle, 35 tow, 60 econo, 100, and 140
I'll probably get rid of the econo and get another tow tune or something.

I don't notice much either, a little more smoke with the 140.
When did you get your chip? Did you get it from PHP directly or from Jim?
Oh yeah, might be headed down your way when I move back to Oregon. If the weather is bad might swing down to I-10 instead of taking I-80 up north.
