rewire 53 headlite switch

Greetings
I've started a rewire of my 53
The one thing i don't care for is the front running (park) lites turn off when the headlites are turned on. So I'm looking at attaching then to the rear lites that are not affected by the headlites. All this done with new fuse panel etc. Thus allowing the front to stay on with the head lites. Any problems to look out for?
Thanks
Mark

Nope, that will work fine.

On you headlight switch you have a seperate tab for Parking Lights, marked "P" (how profound). Just move that wire to the tab marked "R" for Running Lights (wow again) and they will illuminate when the switch is pulled out half way and stay on when the the switch is pulled out to turn on the headlights.

Signal lights at night might be a little hard to see in the front. You need to make sure those sockets are wired correctly so the brighter filliment comes on with the signals.

Hope you have converted to 12 volt and have an alternator. Running 2 more lights at night will really tax a 35 Amp generator 6 volt for sure, and probably on a 12 volt system with a generator too.
