Welcome to FTE. Are you referring to the end plug or the non-serviceable plug? Typically the non-serviceable plug is the one we see stripped out. There's a kit for the so called non-serviceable plug. I don't know about the end plug, but I know who to ask.
I have talked to a number of owners that have had this problem and I don't have any good solutions.
A few have talked about taking the pump to a machine shop to try and have the port drilled and tapped for a larger plug but I have not had a single one of them report back about having any success in doing this. They may have but I did not hear from them.........
