harmonic balancer
what is the size of my stock harmonic balancer? its a 97 f250 hd 5.8. my guess is (the standard) 6 3/8" but i just want to make sure, and dont want to pull the pully of to measure it

Take it to a trusted shop, explain what you want to get done, and I'm sure they could measure it. Right now, there's too many variables in the results of exactly how you want it measured. (belt pully, vs total balancer circumfrence/width/bore, etc.

well its that i am going to pick up my header bolts at the speed shop tomorrow, and i was gonna pick up a piece of timing tape to finish off the 6 liter tune up (timing bump) i was gonna just sand and paint the balancer but its gonna be 25 degs. out tomorrow. dont know how well paint will cure....if at all
