So my '97 Expo is having issues starting in cold weather.
Cranks fine and fires up instantly, but the rpm's rev up a bit then it dies before it can idle. After it warms up it idles fine for the most part, sometimes will die at a stoplight, but always fires up again.
Drives perfectly fine when throttled up.
Was going to replace the fuel and air filter tonight. Saw some posts about the Idle Air Control replacement.
The idel air control valve can usually be cleaned, and it very well could be the problem. You may also have a bad coolant temp sensor. The sensor should set a code.
