code help

I have a 2000 Excursion V10, and I recently had my ECM reprogrammed to the "latest and greatest" code. The tech that performed the reprogramming gave me the new code as a Ford p/n. YU7A-12A650-BYA This translates to the 4 character computer in some way. Does anyone know how to interpret it?

All I asked the tech to do was hook it up and check my installed code, but he said he couldn't do that because the system wouldn't allow it. Once they hook the computer up, they need to reprogram to the latest code.

My previous code was FXU4. The sticker on the computer reads YC3F-AME, which appears to be a partial p/n. It looks like this was a total reprogram, and not just a reflash.

Anybody with an '02-'03 V10 Excursion have this p/n?

FYI, a total reprogram and a reflash are the same thing. EEPROMs aren't designed to allow partial programming.

YU7Z-BYA is the newer code, FXU4. Its part of a TSB that includes replacing the Y-pipe to get rid of an engine miss noise.

YC3F-AME is the older code, CGD0.
