when i removed the heads from my 351m, some were extreamly tight, some had heads so corroided i had to use a metric socket to get them off.
i want to replace all of them. where can i get new replacement head bolts?
also, would it be a good idea to run a thread tap into each hole to clean them up?
when i put it together, would applying a bit of anti-seeze to the threads be a good idea?
thanks for your advice!
Run a tap down into each hole after the block has been tanked and then blow out the holes with compressed air. Get yourself a set of ARP head bolts and read the directions for installing them. They use different tq ratings depending upon whether you coat the threads with straight motor oil or use the special ARP moly lube.
