Front springs...

Front springs...
Should the front leaf springs curve upwards like the rears or should they be straight? Mine are slightly curved downwards in the front and the two leafs have a gap (1/10" or so) at the ends on each side. Is this a problem?

On most of the older diesels I've looked at, the springs are flat to "negative" arch (frowny face) so it is very common.
Even new, the fronts had much less (if any) positive arch (happy face) than the rears.
