Cold start then died

Cold start then died
Went to move my truck yesterday morning. It started up, I let it idle for about 15 seconds then I turned the headlights on and as soon as I turned the lights on, the truck died, like completely dead, no radio no lights, no interior lights either. I turned the key off, and then I turned it back on, and it started. Then after idling for a few seconds, the WTS light kicked on while the truck was running, so I turned it back off. Started it back up, then again after idling the WTS light kicked on so I turned it off again.
After about the 3rd or 4th time it finally worked right and the WTS light never came on while running.
I waited for the WTS to kick off before starting each time.
I've suspected my batteries are weak for a few weeks just havent had a chance to replace them, I'm hoping its something as simple as that just wasn't sure what was goin on with my WTS light.
