Leaking Heater Core

Leaking Heater Core
on my 2000 Expi the front core was leaking, fogging the windows and smellin up my ride, so i cut the lines going in and looped them into each other. My ? is can i still use the rear to heat up the truck until i replace the front core? And secondly does anyone have instruction and tips to replace the front core?

You're in kinda deep with this job.
Let a shop do it if you are not already familiar with the job. The dealership will cost $1,000/1,500 and a radiator shop might be about $500 if you're lucky.
